"Knowledge is Power"-Using knowledge management as a winning tool to talent development

Guest Speaker-Ms. Marlo Thomas-Calloway, SHRM-CP/PHR

Can you think of a time when someone shared important knowledge with you that allowed you to do your job better? Can you think of someone you shared knowledge with to help that person do what they do best? What did you get out of those experiences? How has those experiences allowed you to grow as a professional?

In this hands-on interactive workshop we will get in touch with our own experiences of knowledge sharing, so that we can begin to see the qualities that are needed to make KM happen. We will tap into various ways and best practices that will allow the use of KM in talent development.

What to bring? Your favorite book.

Develop, Direct and Connect
“I help guide individuals towards acquiring professional wealth in their careers."

I proudly wear many hats in my career as a certified HR professional/trainer/educator/coach/advocate and mentor, but all these roads lead to one main passion in Human Resource Development (HRD). I'm known for getting things done, driving results, developing, directing and connecting individuals through training, coaching, collaboration, branding, social media, partnerships, and building meaningful relationships.

Developing in Human Resources
*As an experienced certified professional with over 18 years in management and human resources. I have had the opportunity to work in various industries such as city government, education, state and mental health. My goal is to develop a meaningful workplace by way of talent acquisition, talent development, and employee relations.

Directing Talent Development
*Bringing out the best in people is one of my strongest compentencies. Without the ability to find the best hidden and obvious talents of the workforce then a company is not tapping into the potential worth of their greatest asset. Professionals are multi-talented today and often times enjoy using those talents at work. Directing individuals to the best places to use their talent is another one of my goals.

Connecting via Career Coaching and Mentoring
*Often times professionals need a little guidance and push to keep them motivated in their careers. Seeking out a career coach or mentor can be the answer to connecting the broken links for many people. I founded Ms.MentorMe-The Career Pro to "help individuals acquire professional wealth". Professional wealth is not always monetary first but, being ready, secure and confident in your career is always crucial to professional growth.
