From Master Training Specialist to the Civilian Corporate Trainer

SEVA ATD is surrounded and protected the all five branches of the military within the Hampton Roads area. We are truly honored to be in a community filled with our military veterans, active duty, spouses and dependents. As many military professional transition out of the military in the job field of Master Training Specialist they are looking to merge their years of experience to their next best civilian employer. Here at SEVA ATD we are looking at ways to better communicate and help our military veterans have a smoother transition into the civilian work environment. 

Master Training Specialists implement training programs for their clients or employers and complete duties such as analyzing company policies, identifying training needs, helping employees to move to higher positions, and assessing training program needs. There are many skill sets that the current and veteran military professional has that will help them be perfect employees in the talent development industry. 

In this virtual meeting we will through the similarities and differences with Master Training Specialist in the military in comparison to the civilian professional trainers. 

The objectives are to help our military veterans understand the perspective of civilian employers on the:

·         Fundamentals for becoming a trainer

·         Running a training course

·         Delivering a training session successfully

·         How to write an effective resume for civilian employers

·         Factors for effective training skills

·         What makes a good civilian trainer?

·         Effective training practices and procedures

·         Body language and voice projection skills

·        Classroom training versus one-to-one training

SEVA ATD Community Initiative: Assisting Veterans and Spouses in Employment Transition

Member Incentive: Invite two to three veterans or active duty military professionals that are trainers and receive a SEVA ATD thank you gift. 

All current meetings for SEVA ATD are conducted virtually via Zoom. These events are free to chapter members. This event will be free for non-members.

If your registration fee is not paid within 2 hours of signup, your registration will be cancelled and you will be required to sign up again. Payments are made by electronic method only. Paid event registration costs are non-refundable and non-transferable.
