Session Description
Performance improvement is a key driver of organizational competitiveness and one of the 23 capabilities in ATD’s Talent Development Capability Model. Join us for our next Chapter session when we discuss Performance Improvement with Tamara Ryan who will take us through a specific case she conducted for the Family Support Unit in a Social Services Department. The Needs Assessment uses the Human Performance Technology Model to identify and analyze root causes of performance issues, design and develop solutions to close performance gaps, and plan for continual improvement.

About Tamara
Tamara Alexander Ryan is currently the Manager of the Office of Program Accountability for the Albemarle County, Virginia Department of Social Services. In short, she provides data analysis and recommendations for performance improvement to the entire department’s units and staff members. Tamara is also completing her Doctor of Education with a specialization in Performance Improvement Leadership at Capella University. She has over 20 years in management and leadership roles. She is a longtime member of the Association of Talent Development. Tamara is the proud mother of a 27-year-old daughter and an 8-year-old Yorkie poo fur baby. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
