Career Club March Meeting

SEVA Career Club is open to adults looking to start or enhance their career in training and development. Membership in SEVA ASTD is not required.

Our March event will feature Marcia Downing facilitating a discussion on Developing Your Portfolio.  This is a workshop on creating and maintaining a portfolio that documents your best work whether you are currently looking for a job or not.

Marcia Downing is presently employed with the Newport News Shipyard in Newport News, Virginia as a curriculum developer where she designs and delivers training materials for instructional and computer based training. Training materials developed include needs assessments, instructor and student materials, tests, visual aids and post course evaluations.

As a consultant, Marcia consults individuals and businesses on business acumen and portfolio development. She keeps abreast of leading and effective training and business techniques by participating in group panel discussions, presenting at conferences, attending career and professional workshops, participating as an attendee and presenter at career and professional workshops, completing post graduate course work in education, and continually researching current and future training and business materials, methods, techniques and trends.
