“Going for Gold: The Kirkpatrick® Four Levels Training Evaluation Model and Certification Process"

 

Participants will discuss the “new world” version of the Kirkpatrick® Four Levels training evaluation model and practice using each level of the model on case study scenarios. Participants will also receive information about available Kirkpatrick® certificates, certifications, and the certification process as well as discuss the benefits of holding a certification.

Debra L. O’Connor, Ph.D

Dr. O'Connor is an Associate with Booz Allen Hamilton and ten years’ experience in consulting. She completed her doctoral studies in Educational Technology and Instructional Design in 2004 while teaching instructional design at both Purdue University and Florida State University. She specializes in front end analysis, cognitive task analysis, evaluation of instructional materials and formative and summative evaluations of training. Her current work efforts is for the Defense Suicide Prevention Office (DSPO) while her previous work experience has focused on instructional design projects for Veterans Affairs Learning University (VALU), USSTRATCOM, US Coast Guard, US Navy, US Army, FEMA, JADL Co-Lab, and others. In October 2011, she was awarded a “Specialist Belt” in the Learning area of expertise, a specialized Booz Allen credential based on rigorous industry-recognized standards and Booz Allen-specific requirements. In March 2014, Dr. O'Connor earned a Kirkpatrick® Silver Certification for training evaluation. She is currently going for Gold.
